AroundMe is a cell phone application that allows users to search for the nearest service in their area. The application looks at where the user is, and then lists each landmark in order of distance. The services that AroundMe lists are: Apple Retail stores, banks, bars, coffee shops, gas stations, hospitals, hotels, movie theaters, businesses, parking lots, pharmacies, restaurants, supermarkets, taxis services, and provides a local weather forecast. Once users have identified their service, AroundMe then looks up the contact information and map directions for the landmark.
People can use this application every day if they want to search for the closest service in their area. AroundMe offers users a way to save time and money by choosing the quickest method possible to the desired landmark. All users need is a smartphone to install the application.
